  21. 1. What will Uninstall Manager do ?
  22.  
  23.   When you install a new software (or when you run an existing software)
  24.   it can add new files to your drive and it can change your system files 
  25.   (Autoexec.bat , Config.sys,System.ini,Win.ini,System.dat,User.dat)
  26.   With Uninstall Manager you can safely remove unwanted software and you
  27.   can return your system to its original state.

  31. 2. Step By Step how to use
  32.  
  33.   Step 1: Start Uninstall Manager and update your system with "Update" button.
  34.  
  35.   Step 2: Backup your system files with "Backup System Files" in commands
  36.     menu. Now your system is ready for new installations.
  37.     (For boot drive step one and two will be done automatically at first time running)
  38.     Step 3: Close Uninstall Manager and install anything that you want.
  39.     (Or run any program)
  40.  
  41.   Step 4: To see changes in your system that made by the programs since your
  42.     last update. Start Uninstall Manager and press "Check New Additions" button.
  43.     Step 5: The panel on the left will show the directories and similarly the panel
  44.     on the right will show the files newly added to your system. You can delete
  45.     files or directories that you select.

  47.   Step 6: Finally from commands menu choose "Restore System Files" to turn
  48.     your system to its settings before the installation.
  49.     It is as easy as this. ( For further information refer to program manual )

  52. 3. Important Notes :
  53.  
  54.   -  If you can't delete a file that means file is in use by windows. To delete
  55.      this file, first restore system files and try to delete file again.
  56.  
  57.   -  Generally in changes panel you will see that user.dat and system.dat
  58.      checked, without installing anything, because Windows 95 uses and changes
  59.      these files frequently.

  62. 4. Tools :
  63.  
  64.     Check Overwrite : Some installations can overwrite windows system files without
  65.     notification. This cause your system to not work properly.With " Check Overwrite " 
  66.     command in tools menu you can check these files for any kind of change.
  67.     (Advice - Backup all system files. When one changed replace it with the backed one)

  69.     Quick Clean : With this command you can delete temporary files to have more harddisk
  70.     space. (some temporary files : *.tmp , *.bak , *.old , ... )

  80.   Easy to use, fast and powerful uninstaller. The best way to check all new 
  81.   additions to your system without installation monitoring. Getting files
  82.   off of your system is a lot harder than installing them. I proved this by 
  83.   installing 3 small programs and then using Windows own uninstaller to
  84.   remove them. I then ran Uninstall Manager to monitor any changes in the
  85.   system which showed that the 3 programs had actually left 5 files behind. 
  86.   You can imagine how this can mount up over time! This program also showed 
  87.   up cookies that I had collected after a session on the net!!

  89.   TIP - If you want to delete individual files, highlight them and then
  90.   press 'Delete' on the keyboard. Using the 'Dustbin' will delete all added
  91.   files.

  99.   Uninstall Manager is a program that you can use to make sure that a 
  100.   program you install is completely removed from your computer. Although 
  101.   most programs come with their own uninstaller these usually don't remove 
  102.   everything that was installed when you installed the program. With other 
  103.   uninstall programs most of the time you have to keep the uninstall program 
  104.   running in the background so it can monitor the installation before it can 
  105.   completely remove the installed program also taking up valuable system 
  106.   resources The first time you start Uninstall manager it scans your hard
  107.   drive including the system files and makes a record of it. It is also a 
  108.   good idea to use uninstall manager's "Backup system files" too. Then close
  109.   Uninstall manager. Now after you install or run a program open Uninstall 
  110.   manager then click "Check new additions" and it will show you all the 
  111.   changes installing or running the program made. The directories are listed
  112.   on the left and the files are listed on the right. You can then Delete,
  113.   Delete This program is great and simple to use if you want to immediately 
  114.   remove a program after installation.

  118. 6. Configuring U.M.
  119.  
  120.   These are the options (in file menu)
  121.  
  122.   1- Send deleted files to recycle bin :
  123.   Recommended if you are not sure to delete files.You can use recyclebin
  124.   to restore deleted files.
  125.  
  126.   2- Automatic compare at startup :
  127.   Check this option if you want to start checking new files operation when
  128.   ever you start Uninstall Manager.
  129.  
  130.   3- Show file icons :
  131.   Check this option to see icons of files that listed.This feature is not 
  132.   recommended because it slow down " checking new additions ".
  133.  
  134.   4- Don't list msie caches :
  135.   If you are using internet explorer as web browser,we recommend that check
  136.   this option.When this option is checked msie caches won't listed to you
  137.   and you wouldn't delete these caches.Because this caches are controlling
  138.   and managing by internet explorer's it self.To delete this caches can cause
  139.   slow down your internet surfing.However if you want to delete these caches
  140.   don't check this option to list the cache files.

  145.   Simply delete Uninstall Manager folder. and if exist delete U.M. 's
  146.   shortcut from your desktop.
